I am an Explorer, I grew up with a Father who tried to perfect the Sunday drive and I inherited that trait which has made me a keen user of all vehicles that allow me to explore our magnificent country. A purveyor of Wings, Wheels and engines!.
This need to travel and explore ultimately led to me joining the motor industry at Holeshot Motorcycles, then a Kawasaki and Triumph dealership.
At Holeshot I was a sales exec but also managed and ran the events for the dealership, organising monthly rides for the clients, anything from 100km to 1800km including morning outings to 3 day rides touring the country. We had an impeccable safety record and brought everybody home, every time.
Unfortunately the motorcycle market in South Africa is somewhat depressed, declining from around 40000 units sold in 2014 to only around 18000 units last year. This decline prompted me me to move across from bikes to cars.
I joined Unitrans Automotive in November of 2018 at Autoteam Northcliff, a used car dealership where we specialised in moving ex Hertz rental units and good pre-owned units.
After CFAO Motors bought Unitrans, I was transferred across to Williams Hunt Randburg, an Opel franchise dealer where we sold new and used Opels along with G2 certified used units. I was based there for a year.
In November 2020, I transferred across to Haval Fourways, still within the Williams Hunt Group but now specialising in HAVAL and GWM new vehicles. It is a fantastic affordable brand and a great time to come into the franchise as there are lots of new things happening, starting with the game changing launch of the P-Series bakkies.
